Sean

Big 1860's

Costume Style Profile

Sean’s 1860’s look is designed as a stylized, vintage black-and-white dandy suit that references Victorian showmen while leaning into burlesque theatricality. The costume is rendered entirely in a monochrome palette with bold black outlines, creating the illusion of a hand-drawn sketch brought to life. The high-contrast design ensures visibility from stage while maintaining its vintage period inspiration.

This look is engineered as a tear-away jumpsuit, allowing rapid removal to transition into subsequent “Big” looks. Despite its quick-change functionality, the design retains a crisp, tailored silhouette that reinforces Sean’s role as master of ceremonies and center-stage showman.

Quick-Change Mechanisms

  1. Integrated Jumpsuit Design

    • Jacket, vest, shirt, and trousers are all built into a single one-piece suit.

    • Faux vest and shirt details are appliquéd/stitched into the jumpsuit for the layered effect.

    • No separate garments need to be removed during the reveal.

  2. Tear-Away Closures

    • Magnet Panels are placed along:

      • Side seams (torso → hip).

      • Inner leg seams.

      • Cravat attachment at neck.

    • Panels are disguised with rhinestone buttons, black trim, and appliqué to maintain the “sketched” aesthetic.

  3. Cravat Reveal

    • Cravat is mounted with magnets and hidden snaps at the collar.

    • Pulled away in one motion with the jacket reveal.

  4. Top Hat

    • Hat is NOT part of the tear-away
